Charles Brooks is the Chief Operations and Information Officer of Bamboo Insurance. He leads IT, security, and operations functions, and helps guide AI strategy across the business.

Charles brings deep experience across insurance operations, technology transformation, legacy modernization, M&A integration, and enterprise IT strategy. At Bamboo, he translates this expertise into results — modernizing core insurance systems, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening integration across acquired and existing platforms. He is also advancing data and AI enablement within the enterprise architecture, building scalable, resilient foundations for sustained growth and long-term strategic alignment.

Prior to Bamboo, Charles served as CIO and Executive Vice President of Operations at Kemper and as Global Operations Lead at Chubb. Over the course of his career, he has led major modernization initiatives, including moving a legacy insurance company to a fully cloud-enabled infrastructure in two years while reducing infrastructure costs by 22%.

Charles serves on the boards of Sedgwick and Easter Seals of Greater Chicago. He received his MBA from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina A&T State University.
